Claim timeline
You have 6 months from visa issuance to file your claim.
The window starts on the date your immigrant visa is issued by the U.S. Department of State — not at entry, not at adjustment of status — and closes 180 days later.

The Free Flight Bonus reimburses eligible airfare up to $800 against documented receipts. These are the rules every claim is measured against.
How the bonus works
From visa issuance to reimbursement in four steps.
Each step has a single owner at DV Path, and you can ask us anything at any point in the process.
This bonus is non-transferable.
The Free Flight Bonus is locked to the qualifying customer named on the original Duo or Family purchase. It is not a credit, voucher, or transferable instrument — the reimbursement rules below apply no matter who is travelling.
- Cannot be assigned, gifted, sold, or transferred to another person.
- Does not carry over to a different DV cycle, a replacement entry, or a new purchase.
- Does not convert into store credit, a refund of the service charge, or cash.
- Is paid only against receipts in the name of the qualifying customer or a documented derivative on the same entry.
- Spouses and children on the same Family entry are eligible individually, each on the same terms.
- If the qualifying customer dies before claiming, the bonus is not transferable to heirs.
DV Path is independent from the U.S. Government. Selection outcomes are decided exclusively by the State Department.
