The $1 official U.S. Government DV entry fee, paid on your behalf.
Your service charge covers application preparation, photo compliance review (machine-checked, then human-reviewed), validation against State Department rules, and personal submission during the official October window. The $1 program fee is paid in your name to the U.S. Department of State during the official registration window — it is itemized separately, never bundled, and never marked up.
